Event + Wedding Inquiry

Let’s work together

We answer inquires in the order in which they are received. Please expect a response in 5-7 business days as we are typically on location and away from the office. Don’t forget to check out our FAQ.

*please note we are taking a SABBATICAL from weddings for the 2024 year. This means we are not taking on wedding parties, wedding clients that require preview appointments and timelines, or long term inquiries.

We will however always consider clients that are day-of need only, such as in-studio or on location hair and/or makeup needs.

Event + Photo shoot FAQ

+ How do I book ONLO for my event or photo shoot?

Start by filling out the form found on the contact page. We can let you know the availability of the team members, send pricing and fill you in on how the process works. Booking with ONLO is easy and relaxing, just like the services you will receive. Please note we are not taking wedding clients for 2024.

+ Are ONLO artists licensed?

Yes. Our Artists are cosmetologists (licensed to provide services for hair, skin and nails). Those who are not cosmetologists are licensed estheticians (licensed to provide makeup/skin services). Having licensed pros on our team means that we have invested in ourselves and abide by the state board regulated sanitation rules to give you services that are not just beautiful, but keep everyone healthy and happy. Our Massage Therapists are also licensed professionals.

+ I see you have editorial/commercial experience — tell me more.

Our artists have worked with many notable brands and on some really amazing projects including but not limited to:

  • FREE PEOPLE
  • BHLDN (including exclusive beauty providers for 2017 NY Bridal FW)

Music Videos, Fashion Shows, Brand Imagery, Product Campaigns, Look Books, and more.

+ Can I read some reviews?

Don't mind if you do. Here, here, here and here you go.

+ Why is pricing the same across the board for all services, no matter the look asked for?

We believe that this whole process should be easy, make sense to everyone, and be efficient. Keeping the prices the same across the board makes sense to us because everyone is receiving stellar services and have the same appointment timeframes. Don’t forget our pricing also includes: constant and efficient email communication leading up to the event via our dedicated administrative professional, a configured timeline, highly skilled pros providing services, travel up to 30 miles, lashes for anyone getting makeup, and top of the line tools and products. When you get the invoice and it's easy to understand appreciate the simplicity of our pricing like we do.

+ Do you do traditional and airbrush makeup applications?

All of the photos on this site and throughout our social media are traditional application, as it is the preferred choice of most ONLO artists. Not all artists like to use airbrush application, and not all clients are a good fit for airbrush application. Traditional application works for every client and all makeup artists on our team are able to provide high quality services using this method. Consistency is key. If you would like airbrush we will need to know upon contracting in order to match you with the artist that fits your needs. We do ask that you understand that airbrush application differs only in the way the foundation is put on the skin: via air tools compared to brush or other applicator tools. All of our makeup is smudge proof and long-wear no matter the temperature, season or circumstance (read our reviews for more proof). **Due to COVID-19 Restrictions we are not currently providing airbrush makeup at this time.

+ Tell me more about the bridal preview, please.*

Within the 4 months before your wedding/event, previews of your look are held at our cute and cozy studio in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. They take about 2.5 hours for both hair and makeup and will be with the lead artist(s) that also accompany you the day of your wedding. They are a great way to move away from inspiration photos into photos of your own self, and to to try out ideas you may have for looks. We recommend them to ease nerves, pin down likes and dislikes and get to know your lead artist better. When clients are unable to book a preview due to particular circumstances (out of state, close timing, elopement, etc), or forgo a preview, we will offer a mood board to get on the same page about the goals for your look. Previews are not mandatory and are priced a la carte.

  • We are currently not taking wedding clients for 2024.

+ Do you work on all types of hair and skin? Can you do any look?

Yes. We are a professional and experienced group of artists. We can handle any type of skin or hair no matter the texture, color, undertone, or density. Real life experience along with continued education gives us an edge on anything from classic to trending styles making us fully prepared for anything. Also, we are continually working to provide comfort and a safe space for so we are constantly adding artists that are as diverse as our clients so that everyone feels seen, represented and taken care of to the fullest.

+ How much time do you need for services?

Included in your services is a configured timeline. This timeline serves as a wonderful tool to ensure the time spent getting ready together is efficient and relaxing. Clients will get no less than 30-40 minutes and no more than 1 hour per service. On average, each service gets 40 minutes. The price sheet goes into detail about how many artists are provided per the group size. The timeline helps to create transparency of how everything is spread out through the time available to us. We can not clearly give much info until we confirm services (2 months prior to the wedding/event). If you need more info or help, you might need a planner to lend a hand. We do our best to accommodate and create the timeline but any more logistical planning is out of our wheelhouse.

** Note: if you request an additional artist outside the number of artists we provide and prefer for your group size, there is an additional fee for adding artists for comfort, timing or logistics outside ONLO’s plans/needs.

+ When do you need to know my final headcount for services?

Around 8 weeks prior to the wedding when we create the timeline.

+ When are there additional fees?

Additional fees may occur with:

  • Travel outside the 20 mile radius from our studio.
  • Valet or Garage Parking (Valet is always required if it is available)
  • Requests for additional artists due to time constraints
  • Rescheduled preview appointments
  • Removal of confirmed services from the timeline once it's created
  • Late payments
  • Payments made by credit card

+ What brand of products do you use?

ONLO artists use a multitude of hair and makeup products. Each artist has their favorites and can tell you more about them. We believe that products are tools and tools are super important to our craft. We can work with any type of product. Our kits are filled with high quality, high definition, professional grade products that we can fully depend on no matter the look our client wants. It is most important for us to fully know our products. We are open to product sponsorships but reserve the right to test products fully before starting a sponsorship. If we are sponsored by a product, we will be transparent about it.

+ What kind of payments to you take and What does the typical payment schedule look like? Are tips included?

ACH Bank Transfer, Check (made payable to ONLO), Venmo (@diana-duhaime), or Credit Card when requested (2.5% fee) all through Quickbooks.Payments are all invoiced through Quickbooks, but can be paid in any way noted above. You will receive invoices for the following:- Deposit (accompanying the contract)- Booking a preview (or non-wedding) appointment- Final invoice

A receipt is sent digitally upon each payment fulfillment.Gratuity is welcomed and appreciated but not expected; Tipping with cash or Venmo directly to your artist is best.

+ Are the photos and work on your website and social media all yours?

Yes. Be sure follow on Instagram if you aren’t already.

+ Where can I find features and press about ONLO?

Right Here! There is always something new coming from us.

+ What can I do to prepare my skin and hair for my preview and wedding day?

Drink lots of water, get regular facials, clean your hair deeply but gently, find a good colorist/hair cutting stylist (we have recommendations if you need them), and get good sleep. We’ll send a more specific prep sheet for your preview and other appointments, and ask you to share the deets with your group. Most important is clean hair and skin for all appointments (washed the day before is often best, but you know your hair better). We can do anything with clean hair and skin (and contrary to many myths, dirty hair is NOT always better).

+ I live out of the state/country and want to book ONLO, can you help me?

Yes, definitely we have many clients getting married in Philadelphia or around it that don’t live locally (and sometimes live very far). We have successfully helped clients from all over the globe. Communication is key.If this means that you need ONLO to travel out of Philadelphia to wherever you are, we can possibly help with that, too. We have traveled near and far to clients and are open to hearing about your plans. Check out our Instagram feed and our work to see photos from our travels to different states and countries- most recently Iceland, Arizona and Hawaii. #onlowhereyouare

+ What does ONLO need from me through the process?

There is not much you need to do but some things that are appreciated greatly include:- Going over the literature we send you, ask questions if you are unclear of the process.- Understanding our time together is precious and being respectful of the scheduled time we have together both at the preview and during the event/wedding day. This includes coming to your appointment on time (not too early, not too late), being prepared with photos per our guide and most importantly allowing the appointed time we have together on your wedding be specifically for working on beauty with us (please schedule deliveries, visits, gifts, etc outside of the time you’ll be with us). We really want to make sure you get the best services and feel amazing, and we can only guarantee that if we spend the time planned for focus solely on your services. - paying your invoices within 48 hours of the link being sent your way. This ensures our process stays fluid and easy as well as fair to all those wanting/looking for services. - Make sure the place we are getting you and your group ready has at the least one larger table, chairs in vary heights, outlets, natural light and is well ventilated.- Share our prep sheet with others getting services, so they know what to expect, know how to prepare and get to know us better.
